The Australian Political Book of the Year Award recognises the vital part political books play in better understanding Australian politics and public policy – from thoroughly researched investigations into scandals and upheavals to deep dives into the psyches of those who hold positions of power.

The 2024 Australian Political Book of the Year winner Chris Masters joins Walkley award-winning journalist Michael Bachelard to revisit Flawed Hero and discuss recent developments in the Ben Roberts-Smith case, before the shortlist for the 2025 Australian Political Book of the Year Award is announced.
