The November recital of the Austral Salon of Music will feature young pianist Chloe Au. For this recital, she will perform a program of works by composers including Mozart, Chopin, Scarlatti, Leiberman, Debussy and Pierre Sancan.
12-year-old Chloe started learning piano when she was five. She studies piano with Glenn Riddle, and is on an academic scholarship at Lauriston Girls' School. She completed her AMusA exam with Distinction at the age of 10, and this year, she achieved a Distinction in her LMusA exam.
Chloe has also won numerous prizes in many different eisteddfods, including Boroondara, Ringwood, Latrobe Valley, Monash, and Royal South Street Ballarat. She also won the Bernstein National Piano Competition in October. Chloe also plays the violin, sings in the school choir, and she enjoys chamber music.
