The November recital of the Austral Salon will feature Dr Elyane Laussade and two of her young protégés – violinist Hannah Phung and pianist Thea Lukito. Elyane, Hannah and Thea will present a program including works by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, and Debussy.
Elyane is a Juilliard graduate – a pianist, concert soloist, teacher and mentor. As a soloist, she has delighted audiences on five continents with her imaginative and strongly individual playing. Alongside her performing career, Elyane is passionate about teaching and offers innovative piano camps for younger students.
Hannah Phung learned violin from the age of six and is now a third-year student at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She has completed the AMEB Certificate of Performance. Sixteen-year-old Thea Lukito is a pianist of exceptional promise, demonstrating a musical sensitivity and artistic maturity well beyond her age. She has been awarded both the AMusA and LMusA diplomas with Distinction.
