Afloat Capri
Melbourne’s favourite floating bar and restaurant, Afloat, has returned for its ninth season on the Yarra River (Birrarung), as Afloat Capri – an Italian beach club inspired by one of the most iconic and magical Italian islands.
Expect to find umbrellas with striped umbrellas, terrazzo flooring, an abundance of lemon trees and potted rosemary, hand-painted ceramic planters, terracotta tiled roofs, sorbet-hued walls dressed with hand-painted illustrations, festooned wicker-shaded lights, tables topped with custom crockery and bars with yellow-striped awnings.
There's a colourful cocktail menu that is citrus and aperitif driven, populated with fresh, smashable and easy drinking Italian cocktails, as well as a food menu that has just as much of an emphasis on crowd-pleasing summer fun. Think wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, Sicilian-style pizzette, pastas like spaghetti vongole and gnocchi pomodoro, a daily selection of panini and an extensive selection of antipasti.

The traditional Italian ritual returns with $12 fizz, $10 wine & $10 beers, Mon-Fri 4pm-6pm.
