Vox Humana
This concert features three ensembles working with the Vox Humana choir.
The Lost Clog are ten of Melbourne’s most celebrated Lithuanian pagan singers who enjoy a tongue-in-cheek celebration of folk songs and the incidental humour arising from literal translations. Their repertoire draws on songs of love, talking horses, ruined gardens, amorous toads, and drunks.
Tsinskaro is a quartet of sublime singers who explore the wild and soaring harmonies of ancient Georgian polyphony.
Deb Lowah Clark and Stella Savy who have arranged and taught songs of Deb's heritage in the Torres Strait sing songs from the Torres Strait.
Working with the Vox Humana choir, the three ensembles offer a range of traditional songs from across the globe. The concert will immerse you in sweet, powerful and unfamiliar sounds.
Supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grant.
