Victoria's Path to Treaty

  • Talk
  • Events

Canada and New Zealand began signing treaties with their respective First Nations people centuries ago. Why is Australia so far behind?

Treaty offers an opportunity for everyone who calls Victoria home to move forward with mutual respect, recognition and a willingness to speak the truth about our shared history. But following the defeat of the Voice to Parliament referendum, as well as the loss of bipartisan support for the Treaty process in Victoria, where do we stand?

In this informative session, co-chair and Member for the Metropolitan Region of the Victorian First Peoples’ Assembly, Ngarra Murray, sheds light on the Victorian Treaty process.

Attendees are invited to purchase a Pay What You Wish ticket and nominate a price. Simply enter any amount from $0 or more that you feel comfortable paying and select the number of tickets you would like to book.

Presented in partnership with PEN Melbourne
