Winner of the Best Documentary Prize at Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals, 'All That Breathes' (M, 2021) follows the journey of two brothers, Nadeem and Saud, who dedicate their lives to saving the Black Kite – a bird of prey essential to New Delhi's ecosystem that is mysteriously plummeting from the skies.
Set against the backdrop of environmental degradation and social unrest, the documentary captures the brothers' tireless efforts in their makeshift avian hospital and explores the deep connection between the birds and the brothers who are determined to see them soar.
The screening opens with an introduction by RMIT’s Shweta Kishore, followed by a Q&A with director Shaunak Sen.
Don’t miss this thought-provoking celebration of coexistence, nature, and its preservation, screening during National Biodiversity Month.
Presented by RMIT Culture in partnership with RMIT Cinema Studies, supported by the Environmental Film Festival Australia.
