Over one day, work together to establish an understanding of novel writing practices both technical (craft) and logistical (getting the writing done). Apply fiction craft techniques to your novel concept and prepare for the sustained writing practice that will allow your book to get written. In this way, you will leave the workshop with the tools you need to develop and progress your novel.
