Spotlight on Japanese Horror

  • Film
  • Entertainment

The J-Horror wave burst onto the international film scene thanks to cross-over hits like Ring (1998) and Ju-On (2002) but Japanese horror has a rich and varied tradition. Going back centuries, the DNA of these films can be seen in folkloric ghost stories about long-haired revengeful ghosts or twisted tales of vengeful retribution.

Spanning decades, this collection of eerie tales is a tantalising bite-sized sample of this enduring genre.
