Polly Woodside Open Day

  • Tour
  • Activity

Climb aboard and roam the decks of the historic Polly Woodside, one of Australia’s last surviving 19th-century tall ships. Built in Belfast in 1885, the three-masted cargo vessel carried coal and wheat between England and South America.

Experience the turbulent trials of history at sea and steer your way through blustering tales from the ship’s 17 world voyages, above and below deck.

Explore this mighty ship at your own pace or join one of the guided tours.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
