  • Talk

Step back in history and discover the designs that could have been in this guided curator's tour of Designing Remembrance: Exploring alternate visions for Victoria's war memorial, as part of the Open House Melbourne weekend.

From grand monuments to humble sanctuaries, this exhibition uncovers the different visions that once competed for a place in the heart of Victoria.

After the tour, enjoy an exclusive viewing of some of the original hand-drawn plans for the Shrine by architects Philip Hudson and James Wardrop. These plans have never been publicly displayed before and will provide you with a fascinating insight into the key features and symbols of the Shrine.

- Tours will run for 50 minutes.
- Bookings are essential as spaces are limited.
- The tour is free, however, a $7 booking fee applies.
- Tours will depart from the Shrine Visitor Centre.
