Artist Jennifer Fyfe hosts a workshop 'Oil Portraits: Finding a Likeness through Negative Space' at Victorian Artists Society gallery.
Artists will learn oil painting basics and practice traditional visual techniques to hone their accuracy. They'll first begin by drawing the model in a loose, unstructured manner and will then move on to capture a shadow outline of the model’s facial features. Concentrating primarily on darks and lights, the artists will create a painted resemblance of their model.
This workshop is led by the highly regarded and award-winning artist Jennifer Fyfe, whose solo portraiture exhibition Descript is the feature exhibition of the Gallery's imprint exhibition.
This one-day workshop is offered on two different dates.
