Monolith Artist Talk

  • Free
  • Talk

Celebrated First Nations choreographer Joel Bray has created a brand new work Monolith, which will be presented at RISING. Come along to a special showing and talk, where Joel and five dancers invite you into the making of the project.

Monolith is a powerful and undeniable dance work echoing and honouring generations of protest and rebellion. Go behind the scenes to experience this new work. Part artist talk, part showing, Joel and the dancers will peel back the layers of the making of Monolith. Joel will talk the audience through the creative process of the work and the meanings and layers that make up the work. The audience will gain special insights into this process and see excerpts from the show, in a studio style setting.

There will be an opportunity for Q&A after the presentation.
