Met(ric Tonne of Waste) Gala

  • Free
  • Activity

As part of Melbourne Design Week, local art collective Fast Fashun presents: The Met(ric Tonne of Waste) Gala.

You've seen New York's Met Gala, now witness Melbourne's very own fashion spectacular featuring a tonne of clothing waste, a bunch of safety pins, and you.

Come rummage through the piles of clothing waste and make something to wear on the runway. You are also welcome to just come along and watch the chaos unfold.

All ages and abilities are welcome and artists and designers will be on hand to help. No experience necessary, and if you can operate a safety pin then you're halfway there.

Children are welcome, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Music by DJ Jen Moore, runway is 8.15pm-8.30pm.
