Melbourne Chinese Lunar New Year Festival
Presented by the Melbourne Chinatown Business Association (MCBA), the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival transforms Little Bourke Street, Russell Street, Chinatown Plaza and Golden Square Car Park (Spiegel Haus).
The precinct comes alive with lion and dragon dances, a cultural parade, performances, family activities and food and market stalls featuring food, retail, arts and community groups.
Precinct activations include tasting Fenjiu cocktails at the Spiegel Haus lookout, UNIQLO’s playful styling experience, and Emporium Melbourne’s House of Luck, where visitors can uncover their zodiac and lucky numbers.
Join the community and welcome the Year of the Horse in Chinatown.
