In the heart of Melbourne’s Docklands precinct, Marvel Stadium is one of Australia’s leading multi-purpose venues, designed to cater for major sport and entertainment events with the ability to host over 70,000 fans, depending on the event.

The stadium features a retractable roof. The only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere used for any football code, it can open or close in eight minutes.

With a seating system able to modify its configuration, the stadium not only hosts AFL, cricket, and rugby, it has also staged shows by some of the entertainment world’s biggest names, including U2, Robbie Williams, Barbra Streisand, and Bon Jovi.

On event days the stadium is open four-hours prior to the event start time through till the end of the event.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
