Opened as ‘Show Court One’ for the 1988 Australian Open tennis tournament, the court was renamed Margaret Court Arena in 2003 as a tribute to Australia’s most successful female tennis player.

With a capacity of 7500, the venue features a retractable roof which is the fastest of its kind in the world - opening and closing in just five minutes.

Other features include corporate facilities, video screens, sound system, and new spectator facilities. In addition to tennis, Margaret Court Arena also hosts basketball, netball, and an array of concerts and special events.
