Mark Chew is one of Australia's pre-eminent documentary and editorial photographers, whose work centres around documenting the work of aid agencies, not-for-profits and charities in East Africa, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
His new exhibition is a presentation of photographs taken over a five-year period in the urban slums and refugee camps of East Africa, recording the lives of mostly women and children in an attempt to reveal the complexity and diversity of an existence in difficult circumstances.
