A seminal figure in performance art with an internationally-celebrated body of work, Suryodarmo has created Lapse in response to the increasing chaos of our times. Lapse traces the fractures in our society, exploring systemic breakdowns, ethical decline and societal disillusionment while striving to imagine what collective transformation and change might look like. Through captivating dance, absurd imagery and live music, Lapse offers a bold window into the turbulence of life, here and now.
Lapse is created by Suryodarmo in collaboration with a remarkable group of artists from Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan, including live music by Yuen Chee Wai. Don’t miss this bold new work by one of Asia’s most influential artists.
