Kwabo Flashmob, Dance Workshop and Photography Exhibition

  • Free
  • Dance

Join choreographer Gracieuse Amah for a high-spirited Afrodance and storytelling workshop, and then take your new moves straight into an electrifying flashmob on the Arts Centre Forecourt. No dance experience? No worries, this is an open call for all to move, connect, and set Melbourne’s heart beating to the rhythm of unity. Children under 15 need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Audiences can immerse themselves in the Kwabo digital photography exhibition, a powerful gallery of works by Kwabo artists, transformed into a large-scale experience on screens. A special moment will spotlight the photographers, inviting them to share the stories, inspirations, and cultural roots behind their art.

Presented by Kwabo Events and supported by the City of Melbourne, Arts Centre Melbourne, Cypher Culture.

Free, but registration is required.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
