Deaf Festival has been an annual flagship event for the Victorian Deaf and Hard of hearing community since 1932.

The festival is a wonderful opportunity to get together and celebrate the year. It’s also a vibrant celebration of Deaf culture, Auslan and Deaf identity. It’s an inclusive, family-friendly day welcoming Deaf and hard of hearing people, their families, friends, and the wider community. There will be a range of Deaf and hard of hearing stalls, performances and fun activities.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
