Developing a Practice: Non-traditional Western Instruments

In this workshop, Mindy Meng Wang and Monica Lim will discuss their experiences of developing a creative practice built around non-traditional Western instruments. In Mindy’s case, the Chinese harp or guzheng, and in Monica’s case, with emerging tech and digital interfaces.

They will describe the challenges they faced and the ways in which they have navigated these. Participants are invited to bring along their instruments and ideas to workshop after the discussion.
