Located at Melbourne Town Hall, the City Gallery presents free, quarterly exhibitions on city life, past and present. Specialist curators – often working in collaboration with artists and filmmakers – offer intriguing views of Melbourne life.

Elements of the city's collection, an eclectic range of 8000 artworks and artefacts, are often showcased in these exhibitions and can be seen elsewhere in Town Hall and other Council buildings.
