Birrarangga Film Festival: Origin Gala Event

The Birrarangga Film Festival's Centrepiece Gala features a screening of Origin and a live performance from Stan Walker.

Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay (Selma), Origin chronicles the tragedy and triumph of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Isabel Wilkerson as she investigates the global phenomenon of caste systems across several continents.

This special event will also feature the short film Just Beneath the Surface, and a live performance by Stan Walker concluding the film screening, followed by a Q&A with Birrarangga festival director Tony Briggs and performer Stan Walker.
