Time and Again is a group exhibition acting as an exploration of the incredibility and contingency present in print as a process of making and how those forces are intermingled with life and existence. The exhibition takes inspiration from a quote by poet Rainer Maria Rilke in which he refers to the broadness of existence and the importance of embracing the unpredictability of life.
As print-informed artists, Amy Grover, Lucas Jennings and Odin Strbac draw attention to the way print is inherently connected to these concepts of unpredictability. Time and Again presents entirely new bodies of work in response to the aforementioned subject matter, allowing experimentation and randomness to inform their realisation. The themes are explored through a multitude of different methods, such as mono-printing, chine-collé and intaglio techniques both traditional and unconventional.
Join for opening celebrations on Thursday 16 October, 5pm-7pm.
