Accordion Festival

  • Community

The Accordion Society of Australia presents Festival 2025 – A celebration of an instrument one truly straps to the heart.

This two-day festival showcases the accordion in diverse workshops, concerts, displays and community music-making. Concert highlights include Gusto Gusto, Stiletto Sisters and TangoMundo and a massed accordion orchestra.

Festival goers can join workshops led by some of Australia’s leading musicians. These include an Introduction to Zydeco music, Euro Accordion in Ensemble, an Introduction to Tango, and Alexander Technique for Accordionists. Beginners and aspiring players are encouraged to get involved: Australia’s renowned Lucy Riddett will guide new players through the basics of getting started on the accordion.

You will need to buy tickets to workshops and concerts. Entrance to the displays is free.

The Accordion Society of Australia is an inclusive community organisation that welcomes all players and enthusiasts, no matter their level of experience.
