In his latest suite of oil paintings, master painter William Breen turns again to the horizon – not simply as a line of sight, but as a philosophical threshold between the tangible and the unknowable.
These new works continue Breen’s lifelong engagement with landscape, yet mark a clear evolution in his practice. While his earlier canvases often dissolved into tonal mists and hushed transitions, this body of work embraces bolder contrasts, radiant skies, and an intensified dialogue between land, sea and atmosphere.
