The Underground: Holiday Program

  • Family and kids
  • Workshop

A full-day dystopian writing workshop of subterranean stories.

A circular iron grate lies askew on the road. A ladder disappears into murky darkness. You drop a flaming match to see how far it goes. After a long fall, something unexpected happens – someone catches it. Or something… Welcome to The Underground! A subterranean world of sewers, tunnels and secrets. What sunken societies dwell beneath the city? What are they doing down there? And what is that strange melody that echoes in the pipes?

Join a day of creative writing and imagine worlds beneath worlds and the characters that crawl within them. You'll be designing societies with laws, villains that break them and antiheroes that live in the shadows between them.

For 10-14 year olds.
