The Greek Centre

The towering Greek Centre at the corner of Lonsdale and Russell streets is dedicated to Greek events, culture, and education through hosts public lectures, exhibitions and musical events.

Committed to the interests of all Greek Australians, the centre hosts regular public lectures, exhibitions and musical events.

It is operated by the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, a non-profit member-based organisation created in 1897 to serve the religious, cultural and educational needs of its members.

The Greek Centre features exhibition spaces, education and community meeting spaces, and offices, where well-known events such as the annual Lonsdale Street Festival and Greek Film Festival are organised.
