The Desert Bard
Lost boys, Sam and Boggins, meet in a barren desert. Away from the confines of the city, they build a towering fantasy machine from the scraps that life has thrown them. Circled over by the Desert Bard, a shadowy fable-weaver with a cowboy’s Stetson and a black tongue, the boys scramble towards their escape, grappling with life on the cusp of teenhood.
With a stripped back set and accompanied by a live folk score, The Desert Bard envelopes the audience in Sam and Boggins’ imaginative world. Hot Heads combine high-energy physical theatre with inventive storytelling, exploring the seedlings of queer desire, young male mental health and escapism.
