Procrastinator

Procrastinator is a solo exhibition by sustainable fashion designer and fashion artist Carol Yang that uses fashion to explore the concept of procrastination and its associated waste.

The collection transforms discarded materials - such as old clothes, excess pattern paper, fabric scraps, and broken hangers - into both the medium and the message. These items, accumulated through inaction, symbolise the mental and physical stasis of procrastination.

The designs function as wearable objects while also existing as 'activity sculptures', representing the procrastinator’s mindset. The pieces, though made from waste, maintain their utility as clothing, but also serve as autonomous art, blurring the lines between function and excess. The project aims to express and amplify the feelings of procrastination in a humorous way.
