'(un)seen' is considered a continuation of the artist's interest in contemporary narcissism and its place within our visual culture.
How do we see ourselves, both alone and within the space(s) we inhabit? The exhibition exploits a technique that Spivak has spent the last six years exploring: hand silvered glass panels reminiscent of a process from 18th century alchemy. At the turn of the century, alchemical science was making a profound acceleration and a by product of this was glass mirrors (oppose to the polished metal surfaces used exclusively by the wealthy).
