Jennifer Fyfe: Descript

  • Free
  • Art

Spanning the upper galleries at the Victorian Artists Society Gallery, Jennifer Fyfe presents her feature solo exhibition Descript.

Descript features a body of work created over five years. These artworks are a combination of vintage texts, oil paintings and community stories told in oil paint, ink, and braille. Displayed with accessibility in mind, the artworks are complimented by two installations designed to inspire visitor interaction and discussion.

This exhibition is part of Imprint, a storytelling event that combines art, word and song over four weeks through a program of exhibitions, events, workshops, and a symposium. Imprint is a coming together of scholars, artists, practitioners, and creativity enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas and explore the relationship between art and storytelling.
