Melbourne's Earliest Buildings Walking Tour

Take a walk with a local guide to see the oldest buildings in Melbourne city – nine buildings constructed before the population explosion of the Gold Rush of the 1850s.

From churches and pubs to homes and businesses, you'll learn their stories, not just about their architecture, and have plenty of time to take photos. In between there will be lots of other stories of historic Melbourne to share.

The tour commences outside St James’ Old Cathedral at 10 Batman St and concludes at the Mitre Tavern, where you can rest your feet and buy a drink in the oldest building in the city.
