The MCM Guitar Festival welcomes players of all experience levels to spend a day at the Ian Potter Southbank Centre. Dive into a jam-packed program of masterclasses, concerts and expert panel sessions led by renowned musicians and educators. Be a part of the 100 Guitar Ensemble, performing a new work by celebrated multi-instrumentalist and composer William Barton.

World-renowned soloists Kanahi Yamashita and Gabriel Bianco perform captivating solo recitals and conduct insightful masterclasses. Other exciting events include a rare duo performance by local legends Doug de Vries and James Sherlock, along with workshops and masterclasses by the guitar teaching staff of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

Ideal for anyone and everyone with a passion for music – from secondary students to seasoned players – this event is your chance to connect, grow and be inspired. Expand your repertoire, gain new teaching strategies, or simply enjoy the sounds of tomorrow's top talent.
