Jo Reitze: Resilience Revisited

  • Free
  • Art

The gnarled, windswept Cypresses at Ocean Grove beach epitomise resilience.
Bending to survive gales, their resilience would inspire the resilience of award-winning artist, Jo Reitze to produce a series of dynamic paintings and drawings that would sustain her for two years, locked down in Melbourne. Lockdown provided Reitze with uninterrupted time to paint. She felt blessed to be an artist with lots that motivated and nourished.

Selected gouache and oil paintings of these trees will be shown in this exhibition.
