Daddy, Don't Drop The Soap

In 2016 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brent Thorpe - the biggest poof in Australia - got cancelled. That was before being cancelled was even a thing, but he managed it. He was told that he was, ‘Too sexually aggressive towards people in the audience,’ and subsequently had eight shows cancelled.

This is just one story he recounts in his new show, Daddy, Don't Drop the Soap! This show picks up where Daddy left off. Brent pays homage to gay and queer history, celebrating the good times and the challenging times that got us all to where we are. He continues to set a bad example to people, young and old, and live by his motto, ‘You are never too old to take a pill and dance on a podium in a jockstrap.’
