Prog-baroque quartet Croissants and Whiskey present a moving program brimming with contemporary Australian talent. Comprising four of Melbourne’s most sought-after virtuosos with Joy Lee (harpsichord), Ryan Williams (recorders), Miranda Hill (G violone) and Katie Yap (viola), Croissants and Whiskey weave together unexplored soundscapes, captivating audiences with their enthralling blend of drama, humour and vulnerability.
Featuring the world premiere of a major new work by Kym Dillon, Spirits is a playful, irreverent work about these entities, inviting listeners into a sequence of games about how we relate to our past and the spirits bequeathed to us.
Alongside Spirits are Elizabeth Younan's high-octane The Fertile Crescent, and a selection of new tunes by Croissants and Whiskey themselves.
