Buddha's Day and Multicultural Festival
The three-day-long Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival is back at Fed Square, bringing together arts, music and multicultural performances.
Come along to the Light It Up opening ceremony on Friday from 6.30pm, featuring cultural performances from the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne, Hung Gar Yau Shu and National Boys Choir as well as traditional Buddhist ceremonies and guest speakers. The opening ceremony culminates with an incredible fireworks display bringing the iconic Fed Square to life.
Across the weekend visitors can participate in ceremonies, workshops, meditations and performances. Enjoy guided meditation at the Mindfulness Forest, visit the Lotus Flower Sanctuary or bathe the Buddha in the beautiful Lumbini Garden.
Kids can learn the art of dragon dancing or engage in face painting and giant bubble blowing. Over at the Fed Square main stage, all ages will enjoy the impressive lineup of performances and dance workshops from Victoria's best multicultural groups.
