100 Years of French and English Choral Music

  • Music
  • Entertainment

The Melbourne Chamber Choir presents 100 years of choral gems from the late 19th and early 20th centuries in France and England.

Moving sacred works including Gounod's Les Sept Paroles de Notre Seigneur Jesus-Christ sue la Croix and Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine are juxtaposed with colourful excerpts from Ravel's Trois Chansons. Travelling across the channel, Elgar's My Love Dwelt in a Northern Land is paired with Vaughan Williams' poignant Toward the Unknown Region.
