Craft is a leading centre for craft and design located in Melbourne’s city centre.

In the gallery space, Craft's exhibition program showcases handmade works of artistic vision, technical excellence and material exploration. The Maker Showcase is a retail space featuring limited-edition, one-off functional and decorative objects by Australian artists and makers working across jewellery, ceramics, textiles and more.

They offer public programs including workshops and professional development opportunities for makers, and they join forces with Australian architects and artists to realise ambitious public and private commissions through their Craft Projects division.

For more than 50 years, Craft has provided a platform for makers, artists and designers to drive innovation in contemporary craft and enrich our everyday lives.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
