Williamstown Ferry Service

  • Tour
  • Attractions

Looking for a more relaxing way to enjoy the trip from Melbourne to Williamstown? The Williamstown ferry services offered by Melbourne River Cruises will get you to your destination in style in just under an hour.

They begin at the Southbank Promenade near the arts precinct and travel along the wonderful Yarra River. Tourists and travellers unfamiliar with the city will encounter some of the most notable attractions including Crown Melbourne, the Westgate Bridge, the Exhibition Centre, and Polly Woodside.

Around 45 to 60 minutes later, the Melbourne to Williamstown ferry arrives at the picturesque Port Phillip Bay, where you can either choose to disembark and explore Williamstown (you can make the return trip later), or stay on board, sit back, and enjoy one of the finest bay cruises in Melbourne as it returns to Southbank.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
