Walk for Pet Wellness

  • Family and kids
  • Activity

Join a 5km fundraising dog walk starting at Point Park, Docklands, to Southbank and back to Point Park.

The 2025 walk theme is Magical Mutts and Mystical Pups. All dogs and their humans are invited to come dressed as wizards, witches or magical creatures – because together, you’re conjuring up second chances and happy endings for rescue animals through the power of love, kindness and community.

Whether it’s a glittery unicorn horn, a flowing wizard cloak or a sparkly wand in tow, your pup’s costume helps spread the message: every pet deserves a little magic.

All ticket sales support Second Chance Animal Rescue, helping give homeless pets the forever homes they deserve.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
