Viaggio Italiano: Photography and Drawings by Moses Tan

  • Free
  • Art

Italy has always exerted a strong hold on the world’s imagination and this exhibition is a celebration of a country that means so much to so many. Moses Tan brings an acute eye to the unexpected, encouraging us to look anew at places we think we know, and to find beauty in the everyday – often in places far removed from the tourist route.

Born in Malaysia and educated in Melbourne, Moses Tan now calls Australia home. He is an educator, photographer and graphic artist. An ardent traveler, Moses has had regular exhibitions of his travel photographs since the early 1980s. Many of them have also been published in travel journals. More recently, he has held exhibitions of his digital drawings.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
