The Classroom of Tomorrow

  • Family and kids

It’s 1967 and Mr Kerr is the 6th grade teacher everyone wishes they had: full of stories, and silly as a snake.

Tonight he's going to teach the class what the world will be like in that far-off year, 2025. Will he get it mostly right or terribly wrong?

Join the class as Mr Kerr fantasises about a future full of flying Toranas and reminisces about life in a bark hut. This family-friendly, all-ages show has lots of slapstick for the kids and plenty of thought-provoking homework for the adults.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
