Southern Cross Lane

  • Landmark
  • Shopping

Southern Cross Lane is a bustling laneway filled with alfresco dining and speciality shops. Bordering Exhibition, Bourke and Little Collins streets, the lane name checks the former Southern Cross Hotel that once occupied the site, famous for housing The Beatles during their Melbourne visit in 1964.

Southern Cross Lane offers visitors the opportunity to experience the charm of Melbourne’s iconic laneways, all while staying protected from the elements under a discreet roof and allowing you to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere without worrying about the infamous Melbourne weather.

Catering largely to the office crowd, the laneway is home to cosy eateries including Pokéd, Urban Deli, Joy Cupcakes and Axil Coffee.
