Midland Highway Revisited

  • Theatre
  • Music

Midland Highway Revisited is a low-fi investigative musical exploring true-life stories with a mix of spoken word, pathos, humour and research, all signposted by original songs, and by songs that have been signposts.

Someone once said that when they slept alone in the old house by the Midland Highway they had “the most intense fever dreams” of their life. In the dream, they had been lost inside a giant spreadsheet. They thought it must have been the asbestos walls.

Tune into inquisitive twins Liz and Sarah, of folk group Taylor Project, as they lean into this fever dream. Who really haunts their old house by the Midland Highway? Is it the ghosts of past residents? Folk songs, colonialism, the 1990s economy, the upright piano? Or is it just them?

Spotlight meets Dylan and a real house by a highway.
