May Exhibition Openings

West End Art Space presents three exhibitions by artists Stephen Tierney, Miranda Smith and Geoff Harrison.

A Wonderful Life by Stephen Tierney
A Wonderful Life confronts the contradictions in our societal ideal of happiness through the medium of collage. Larger than life images of joyful people are juxtaposed against stark depictions of social unrest, sexism and war.

Surface Tension by Miranda Smith
Surface Tension is a new body of optically charged photographic works which transform the camera from a device of documentation into a conduit for painting with light.

The Inhabitants by Geoff Harrison
Harrison's paintings are of quiet contemplation, where light takes cente stage. The settings, often ambiguous and dreamlike, could be anywhere – or nowhere at all.

All artworks on show are for sale.

Come along to the opening reception on Thursday 8 May, 5–7pm.
