A collection of monotypes that showcase the subtle beauty of the Australian landscape, by monotype print artist, Marketa Kemp.
The centrepiece of this exhibition is inspired by Lake George in South Australia, its raw beauty and tranquil ambiance. Kemp's bond with the lake is evident in each piece, as she captures the essence of Lake George through delicate and expressive monotypes. Her use of tone, subtle colour and texture invites viewers to immerse themselves, offering a meditative and contemplative experience.
The remaining collection then continues through various parts of the Australian landscape, each piece telling a different story, remembering a different moment in time.
This exhibition is a tribute to the profound connection between artist and natural world. Through the medium of monotypes, Kemp provides an invitation to see the landscape through her eyes, while encouraging personal reflection – to pause, reflect, and appreciate the subtle magnificence of this land.
