La Luz Dentro (The Light Within): A Flamenco Showcase

  • Family and kids
  • Theatre

Head to Melbourne’s stunning Capitol Theatre for a magical night of flamenco music and dance.

La Luz Dentro (The Light Within) journeys through a range of flamenco palos, inviting both performers and audience into a world of contrast - light and shadow, chaos and stillness, joy and longing. Guided by the flame that stirs within, the performers and musicians express what flows through us all - raw emotion, shared humanity, and the mysterious beauty of the unknown.

This year’s showcase features a large cast of passionate students and an extraordinary live musical ensemble. Flamenco is an artform traditional to the Gypsies of Andalusia, and this event honours its roots with deep respect and gratitude. Informed by the teachings passed down to them, the performers strive to share this art form with sincerity.

Presented by Flamencollab.
