In his exhibition, 6 mois en France, Melbourne fashion photographer and artist Nev Steer captures the grand images of the French Empire, adding a surreal touch to many of them to create powerful images only the mind could imagine.
Tutored by the National Gallery of Victoria's Marco Luccio, Nev has created striking pieces based on the grace and power of the French Empire with a twist reminiscent of Jacques-Louis David meets Giuseppe Arcimboldo with a hint of Salvador Dali.
